New Community Legal Service for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) Persons in Perth Metropolitan Region, Western Australia

The Community Legal Services Program (CLSP) in Western Australia provides Commonwealth and State funding to community legal centres to deliver legal assistance services to disadvantaged persons in the community. Funding is available for an organisation to deliver generalist community legal services for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) persons, covering the metropolitan region of Perth. Total funding is $119,361 per year, although initially funding will be offered for a six months period in order to ensure alignment with the Program’s overall funding cycle.

As a result of the withdrawal from the joint Commonwealth/State Program by a Perth based service provider for CALD clients, funding under the CLSP (comprising both a Commonwealth and a State allocation) has become available. Submissions are now sought from organisations to deliver community-based legal services to CALD persons in the metropolitan region of Perth.
